Pittsburgh’s 4th Annual Big Gay River Float

What started as a small gathering of friends has grown into one of the region's most fun and out of the box LGBTQ+ summer events. Each year, our amazing and diverse community comes together to enjoy a day of sunshine, laughter, friendship, and adventure on the river. Last year, more than 100 people joined us, helping make it our biggest and most memorable float yet.

The Big Gay River Float is open to everyone. We celebrate the diversity that makes our LGBTQ+ community so special and welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences—including LGBTQ+ individuals, allies, friends, and their families.

Our goal is simple: create a fun, inclusive, and welcoming environment where people can connect, make new friends, strengthen old friendships, and celebrate community together. Whether you're joining us for the first time or returning for another year, we're excited to have you with us.

To help make the day even smoother, we're pleased to offer shuttle services this year to assist with transportation and logistics. Be sure to explore the website for event details, registration information, transportation updates, safety guidelines, and frequently asked questions.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 2, 2026, and get ready to float, laugh, and make memories with an incredible group of people.

We can’t wait to see you on the river!
